Meetings are held every Wednesday at 9 PM at the CAYA house when the university is open. The CAYA (Come As You Are) house is located near the corner of 28th and University. Meetings usually last about an hour and include announcements, planning for upcoming events, and discussions. Past discussions have included topics such as sex ed in public education, the impact of Matthew Shepard’s experiences and death, and how labels affect people. Guest speakers also come to meetings, and topics range from AIDS awareness to how to incorporate more GLBT-related classes on campus. |
