The house was built on a foundation
of strong academic excellence.
The International headquarters
offers a scholarship to all pledges who attain a 3.0 GPA or
higher during their pledge semester. This scholarship covers
first semester dues. Many brothers last year were awarded this
scholarship. Since our founding in 1993 our house has stressed
high academic achievement and seek to continue this tradition
of excellence.
The brothers of Phi Gamma Delta
unofficially won grades for the Spring of ’99. Our house
GPA of 3.31 was highest on Greek Street, for both fraternities
and sororities.
Persistence
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men
with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a
proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan
‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the
problems of the human race.”
-Calvin Coolidge, Amherst ‘94
29th President of the United States
