Well, it's that time of year again!  The 2008 Drake Relays are upon us, and the Relays crew here at DBS is preparing for another telecast.  We've got a great team of producers and talent working hard to bring you the best coverage possible throughout Relays weekend.

We will be continuing our partnership with Drake Athletics in 2008 by providing live scoreboard video in the stadium in addition to our regular live broadcast on Mediacom College Channel 16.  This year we will also be streaming our entire broadcast and scoreboard feed live online through the Drake Athletics website ( www.godrakebulldogs.com ).  This makes our total production about 20 hours in length - a true Drake Relays marathon!

DBS has seen many talented producers come and go through the tiny office in the basement of Meredith over the last 20 years.  Those producers have laid an amazing foundation for this telecast, and I am truly honored to have the opportunity to carry on the tradition.  The Drake Relays telecast has grown into one of the biggest student produced broadcasts in the nation, and none of it could have been accomplished without the talented people that came before me.

I need to say thanks to my amazing and dedicated team of producers and talent, our crew, everyone in DBS, Bill Brown, Will Frazier and the Mediacom crew, Brian Brown, David Wright, Todd Evans, Keri Thompson, Scott Inukai and Dave Zawilinski, for all of their hard work and assistance. Working with all of you for the last four years has been a great experience! Also, a huge thanks to Scott and my family for their support and pep talks.
